After four rounds and more than 10,000 online votes, four players have reached the championship round of the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Fan Choice National Player of the Year.
The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Fan Choice National Player of the Year is an annual 64-player bracket-style tournament that recognizes the best individual performances from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players during the season and gives volleyball fans from around the world the chance decide the winner through online voting.

Eight college men’s volleyball players were selected to the inaugural Off the Block All-Independent Team on Monday.
The Off the Block All-Independent Team honors the top men’s volleyball players on teams in NCAA Division I-II or transitioning to NCAA Division I-II that competed as independents without a conference this season. Similar to an all-conference team, the All-Independent Team recognizes outstanding individual performances during the regular season. Coker will be leaving the Southeast to play a non-conference match for the first time in its program history.
The Cobras last week unveiled their 2014 schedule and announced they will travel to play in the non-conference Lindenwood Classic for the upcoming season.

The Conference Carolinas will add another men’s volleyball team for the 2013 season.
Coker College announced Monday that it would add men’s volleyball as an intercollegiate sport that will compete in the Conference Carolinas beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
“As an emerging sport in Conference Carolinas and across the country, men’s volleyball is an excellent fit for Coker,” Coker College President Robert Wyatt said in statement.
