BYU outside attacker Davide Gardini for the second time in a three-week span is earning a national honor after leading No. 9/10 BYU to a conference victory.
Off the Block announced Monday that Gardini was selected as the Off the Block National Freshman of the Week.

One of the toughest road environments in college men’s volleyball awaits Ball State during the opening weeks of the upcoming season.
Ball State as part of releasing its 2019 schedule announced Tuesday that it will travel to Smith Fieldhouse for road non-conference against BYU on Jan. 12.

Four college men’s volleyball players are spending this summer competing in one of the most prestigious European international tournaments.
NJIT’s Alvaro Gimeno, BYU’s Miki Jauhianien, Fort Wayne’s Frederico Santos and Hawai’i’s Stijn van Tilburg are all on their nations’ rosters for the 2018 Golden European League.

After splitting the first two games of its VolleyFour match on Thursday, BYU and UCLA found themselves tied at 23 in the pivotal third game. In a match that featured nine 2018 AVCA All-Americans, UCLA coach John Speraw scanned his bench for a serving sub, and it was unheralded true freshman Grant Maleski that got the call.
