Five former all-conference players who led their teams to championships will receive an honor only reserved for the best players and contributors in MIVA history.
The oldest college volleyball conference announced Monday that Purdue Fort Wayne’s Jay Golsteyn, George Williams’ Ken Mattison and Marv Zimmerman, Lewis’ Victor Rivera and Ball State’s Keith Thornburgh were all selected to be inducted into the MIVA Hall of the Fame.

No. 15 Ball State had four players finish with double-digit kills as it rallied to upset Lewis 25-21, 27-29, 16-25, 25-12, 15-10 on Saturday in Muncie, Indiana.

Setter Jake Romano didn’t wait long this year to show why he was an all-conference selection in 2018.
The second-year starter guided the offense to a .486 attack percentage as Ball State swept Princeton 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 in its season opener on Friday in Muncie, Indiana.
