Karching for a Cause launched by Off the Block is a social media campaign encouraging individuals to help raise awareness about both breast cancer reasearch and the U.S. Women’s National Team’s gold medal finish at the FIVB World Championships.

USC coach elated to have Christenson back for senior season

When USC’s season ended in April, coach Bill Ferguson admittedly was not completely sure if his All-American setter Micah Christenson would come back for his senior season.

Ferguson said in a recent interview with Off the Block that before Christenson opted to return to USC, the two had several discussions during the off-season about the chances of the setter foregoing his final college season to play professionally overseas.

UC Irvine sets non-conference schedule with NCAA Tournament in mind

Coach David Kniffin created a non-conference schedule that could give UC Irvine a significant advantage come Selection Saturday.

UC Irvine announced Monday that it will compete in seven non-conference matches during the upcoming season — the most of any MPSF team that so far has released its 2015 schedule.

Cal State Northridge, George Mason agree to non-conference match in 2015

For the first time in almost a decade, George Mason and Cal State Northridge will meet in a non-conference match during the upcoming season.

Cal State Northridge as part of unveiling its regular season schedule earlier this week announced that it will play host to George Mason on Jan. 13 in the first meeting between the two teams since 2005.

MPSF to play conference semifinals, finals on back-to-back nights

There will be a short turnaround between matches for the two teams that reach the MPSF Tournament championship match next season.

The MPSF coaches at its annual fall meeting voted to play the 2015 conference tournament semifinals and championship match on back-to-back nights, according to the meeting’s minutes published on the MPSF website.
