MIVA adds five new inductees to conference’s hall of fame

Five former all-conference players who led their teams to championships will receive an honor only reserved for the best players and contributors in MIVA history.

The oldest college volleyball conference announced Monday that Purdue Fort Wayne’s Jay Golsteyn, George Williams’ Ken Mattison and Marv Zimmerman, Lewis’ Victor Rivera and Ball State’s Keith Thornburgh were all selected to be inducted into the MIVA Hall of the Fame. UCLA lands star-studded incoming recruiting class

UCLA has reloaded with a recruiting class featuring multiple all-state selections and individuals who have competed at international tournaments.

Pepperdine coach David Hunt will be coaching the United States Boys Youth National Team at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship in Tunisia next week. Hawai’i, Loyola starters make U.S. roster for NORCECA Championship Cup

Two of the top players in college men’s volleyball will represent the United States at an upcoming international tournament.

Tokyo Bound: United States overpowers Netherlands to clinch berth to 2020 Olympics

On the biggest of stages opposite Matt Anderson once again delivered for the United States.

The former Penn State All-American and two-time Olympian had a team-high 16 kills as the United States defeated the Netherlands 25-18, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21 on Sunday to clinch a berth to the 2020 Olympics. Olympic qualification men’s volleyball matches to follow today

Six berths to the 2020 Olympic men’s volleyball tournament will be at stake this weekend.

The FIVB’s new Olympic qualification system will feature six pools that are each comprised of four teams. The team with the best record in every pool following a three-match round robin will clinch six of the 11 remaining berths to the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo.
