Hall of Fame coach Marv Dunphy isn’t putting any value in preseason expectations — even if they are high for his Pepperdine team.

UC Irvine’s La Cavera powers U.S. past Puerto Rico in Pan Am semifinals

A career night from UC Irvine opposite ZacK La Cavera has put the United States into the championship match of an international tournament.

La Cavera led all players with a tournament-high 20 kills as the United States swept Puerto Rico 28-26, 25-22, 26-24 in the semifinals of the IX Men’s Pan American Cup on Friday in Mexico.

U.S. releases roster for upcoming Pan American Cup tournament

An All-American libero and two All-American middle attackers will be among the current college men’s volleyball representing the United States at the IX Men’s Pan American Cup.

USA Volleyball announced Friday that UC Irvine libero Michael Brinkley, Hawai’i middle attacker Tyler Averill, Loyola middle attacker Nicholas Olson and UC Irvine opposite Zack La Cavera were selected to the U.S. roster for the upcoming international tournament.

USC, Penn State All-Americans make roster for USA Volleyball Cup

Two current college men’s volleyball players will join the U.S. Men’s National Team for its upcoming series against Iran.

USA Volleyball announced earlier this week that USC setter Micah Christenson and Penn State outside attacker Aaron Russell were among the 14 players named to the U.S. roster for the USA Volleyball Cup.

U.S. bounces back to sweep Puerto Rico, win bronze medal at NORCECA

The United States didn’t achieve its overall goal at the NORCECA Continental Championship but it will finish on the medal podium.

The U.S. Men’s Junior National Team one day after losing in the semifinals rebounded to sweep Puerto Rico 26-24, 25-19, 27-25 on Sunday in El Salvador to win the bronze medal at the international tournament.

Oh Canada: United States loses NORCECA semifinals in 5 games

Canada got its revenge and in the process prevented the United States from getting a bid to the FIVB U-21 World Championship.

Two years after losing in the championship match to the United States, Canada overcame a one-game deficit to beat the U.S. Men’s Junior National Team 23-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-22, 15-9 in the NORCECA Continental Championship semifinals Saturday in El Salvador.
