These two teams will play both tonight and tomorrow in Manoa. This series has at-large implications not just for the Big West, but also for the MIVA and the MPSF.

Of this weekend’s matches no other match has as much implications on their conference tournament than this one. Barring upsets tonight, they will be playing for the second seed in the ConfCarolinas tournament tomorrow. The top two seeds in that tournament get a double bye.

While Penn State has locked up the top seed in the EIVA tournament and will be hosting it, seeding for the other five spots in the tournament in a couple of weeks is very much up for grabs. In fact, neither team has even locked up a bid into the tournament yet.

While most people will be watching the Loyola and Ball State matches tomorrow to see which team wins the MIVA regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the MIVA tournament, this match is a pairing of top-five teams in the Division II coaches poll. Lindenwood won the previous match this season in five games in St. Charles.
