As expected, Lindenwood is one the biggest risers in the latest Division II coaches poll released on Wednesday morning.

Having defeated No. 1 Lewis at home on Friday afternoon, the Lions are the new No. 5 team in the poll. Junior opposite AJ Lewis had 28 kills on a .478 attack percentage in the win.

The other big riser in this week’s poll is Limestone, who re-enters the poll at No. 8 this week after receiving votes in the last three polls.

Lewis is no longer the unanimous No. 1 team in the poll, as No. 2 Concordia-Irvine and No. 4 McKendree both received a first place vote.

Off the Block’s Division II match of the week is on Friday night when Queens hosts No. 8 Belmont Abbey. The teams have played seven times all-time, with the Crusaders winning four of those matches.

Both NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II men’s volleyball programs compete for the same national championship. The AVCA National Coaches Poll ranks the top 15 Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and is released each Monday during the regular season.

A national voting committee comprised of coaches from the more than 25 Division II teams determines the weekly rankings for the Division II National Coaches Poll.

The Division II National Coaches Poll will be released on the Off the Block website every Wednesday during the regular season.
