McKendree is tied atop the MIVA with a 4-0 record to start the season after the Bearcats upset No. 14 Ohio State at home on Friday night. The Bearcats won the final games of the match, hitting an even .500 in those final frames after hitting .167 in the first game. Individually, the Bearcats were led by senior outside attacker Patrick Ross who had a team-high 16 kills on a .433 attack percentage. Listen to McKendree coach Nickie Sanlin react to the victory and the challenges of coaching both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams concurrently at McKendree.

  1. Kudos to Nickie Sanlin for coaching both the men’s and the women’s teams this semester! And great achievement to be 4-0 in the MIVA so far.
