It will be left to the fans to decide which current senior had the best college men’s volleyball career.

The 64-player field was unveiled Friday for the inaugural Off the Block Top of the Class Tournament with the tournament winner being decided through online voting on the Off the Block website.

The Top of the Class Tournament is a bracket-style, five-round event pairing the best seniors from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball teams against each other. The senior in each match-up who had the best college career as decided by the fans will advance to the next round.

This is the inaugural Top of the Class Tournament and will take place in lieu of the annual Off the Block Fan Choice of the Year, which had a similar tournament format. Off the Block opted to make this change to honor the seniors whose 2020 season were ended early because of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States.

The tournament bracket will be unveiled on Saturday and first-round matches will begin on Monday and Tuesday.

The first-round voting will last one day with the online polls closing at 10 p.m. (CST). The second-round also will have a one-day voting period, while the regional semifinals, regional finals and the four-person championship round will be two days.

Off the Block determined the tournament field using a variety of factors including a player’s performance during their career, all-conference and All-American honors and how the player’s team fared.
