Hawai’i seniors, coach react to season cut short

Jonathan Bates | Associate Editor

Yesterday the Big West Conference announced they were cancelling spring competition and championships, which affected No. 2 Hawai’i among other teams. Additionally, the NCAA announced they were cancelling the men’s volleyball championship which was scheduled to be hosted by George Mason in May. Hawai’i was a favorite to make the finals of that tournament, so naturally the four Rainbow Warrior seniors were disappointed when they got news their season was over. The team returned to Manoa today, and a news conference was held upon their return.

Listen to the four seniors (middle attacker Patrick Gasman, opposite Rado Parapunov, outside attacker Colton Cowell, and outside attacker James Anastassiades) and coach Charlie Wade react to their season being cut short. Mahalo nui loa to special correspondent Tiff Wells for recording and sending us the video.
