Video highlights: No. 3/3 UC Santa Barbara uses balanced attack to sweep No. 8/8 UCLA

No. 3/3 UC Santa Barbara benefited from No. 8/8 UCLA’s 40 combined errors as they swept Bruins 25-23, 25-22, 25-18 on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The Gauchos are atop the nation with a 10.83 digs per game average, and they improved on that average with 35 digs for the match. Libero Grady Yould led all players with 11 digs.

In addition, outside attacker Randy DeWeese had a team-high nine kills and two aces.

The Bruins were led by middle attacker Daenen Gyimah’s nine kills.

While both of the first two games were close, the Gauchos used a 10-1 run early in the third game to take cruise to a sweep.
