No. 12 USC defeated No. 10 Princeton in #CincoSets on Thursday night at Galen Center in Los Angeles in a match of two teams that made it to the NCAA Championship last season. The Trojans and Tigers alternated winning the first four games, but USC pulled out the fifth game (15-10) by siding out at a 90 percent clip. The Trojans outhit the Tigers, .229 to .217, and out-blocked them, 11 to eight. Princeton opposite George Huhmann led all players with 23 kills, while USC was paced by outside attacker Brandon Browning’s 15 kills and middle attacker Kyle Gear’s 10 kills and four aces.
