Highlights: CSUN sweeps Benedictine Mesa at UCSB Invite

Fresh off two five-game losses to McKendree and Concordia-Irvine, CSUN swept the NAIA preseason Benedictine Mesa on Saturday afternoon. The Matadors outhit the Red Hawks, .324 to .170, while outblocking them 10 to 5. CSUN used a balanced attack that was led by nine kills from outside attacker Steven Rotter and seven kills from outside attacker Kyle Hobus. Middle attackers Paul Rzepniewski and Daniel Wetter had five blocks each. For Benedictine Mesa, outside attacker Charles Pollnow led the way with 11 kills.
