Princeton opposite/middle attacker George Huhmann was named the 2019 Uvaldo Acosta Memorial EIVA Player of the Year. The three-time All-EIVA selection ranks in the top three in the EIVA with 3.37 kills per game, a .348 attack percentage, and 4.10 points per game.

Last year he was he was honored with AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honors, and continued that momentum with three of his eight career conference player of the week awards coming this year. Two of those conference player of the week honors came in the last two weeks of the regular season where Huhmann had a combined 67 kills on a .471 attack percentage. He also chipped in defensively with 17 total blocks and 13 digs in those four matches.

Princeton head coach Sam Shweisky was named Bob Sweeney EIVA, his second such honor (2010).

Princeton won the regular season (for the first time in school history) by a three-match margin, and will host the 2019 EIVA Tournament starting on Thursday. Their first round match-up is against No. 4 seed Saint Francis – the only team that defeated them in conference play.
