No. 9/9 BYU was already down one setter on Thursday when Cyrus Fa’alogo went down with an injury. Enter in freshman setter Brody Earnest, who came in during the second game in the Cougars’ match versus UCLA.
All he did was guide BYU to a reverse sweep over the No. 4/4 team in the nation. BYU attacked at a. 373 clip in those final three games.
Not be out-done, Earnest had 40 assists in Saturday night’s victory over No. 6/6 Pepperdine.
Watch his interview with special contributor Rae Loverde as Earnest discusses stepping into the starting setter position.
