What to know: The No. 1 seed for the MPSF Tournament has already been decided, but this regular season finale remains just as critical because of the NCAA Tournament implications. No. 5/4 UCLA will play host to No. 2/2 BYU with both teams needing a victory to bolster their resumes for the selection committee. Among the criteria the committee uses to determine the two at-large bids and NCAA Tournament field includes RPI ranking, head-to-head record and record versus teams under NCAA Tournament consideration. BYU along with its No. 4 RPI ranking has one of the nation’s best records against teams under consideration at 7-3, including a home sweep against UCLA in March. The Bruins, though, are two spots ahead of the Cougars in the RPI and 6-5 against teams under consideration, according to the latest Off the Block bracketology projections. BYU enters this match after sweeping No. 4/5 Pepperdine on Thursday to clinch the MPSF regular season championship and No. 1 seed for the conference tournament. Serving specialist Wil Stanley coming off the bench led all players with four aces as BYU had a season-high 11 aces in the road victory. In addition, All-American outside attacker Brenden Sander had a team-high 11 kills on a .429 attack percentage. This was the fourth MPSF match that Sander had double-digit kills while hitting at least .400. The senior also is among the MPSF leaders and in the nation’s top 25 with a 3.43 kills per game average. UCLA is second in the nation with a .354 attack percentage but was held to a .214 attack percentage in its previous meeting against BYU. The Bruins since that loss have seven consecutive matches hitting at least .375. In addition, All-American setter Micah Ma’a is third in the nation averaging 10.72 assists per game and is in the nation’s top 15 with a 0.469 aces per game average. While BYU has secured the No. 1 seed, UCLA can clinch the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament with a win tonight or a Pepperdine loss against Stanford.

Penn State (12-9, 7-3 EIVA) vs. George Mason (14-10, 10-0 EIVA)
Match vitals: 7 p.m. in Fairfax, Virginia

What to know: The EIVA Tournament could officially tonight be coming back to George Mason for the first time in 24 years. First-place George Mason can clinch the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament and the right to host the event with a victory against the defending EIVA champions Penn State and a Harvard loss. With three matches remaining its regular season, the Patriots face the Nittany Lions having a two-match ahead of the second-place Crimson. George Mason swept St. Francis on Friday to remain undefeated in conference play and extend its winning streak to five matches. In addition, All-EIVA setter Brian Negron guided the offense to a .380 attack percentage, including a season-high .727 attack percentage in the opening game. Opposite Hayden Wagner finished with a match-high nine kills. Wagner leads the EIVA with a 3.71 kills per game average and had a match-high 20 kills while hitting .485 in a road sweep against Penn State in February. The Patriots also had seven aces in that victory with Wagner contributing three aces. Penn State rebounded a five-game loss to Harvard last week to sweep Charleston a Friday. The Nittany Lions hit .316 in the road win and were playing without All-EIVA opposite Calvin Mende. Mende suffered an injury in the loss to Harvard and leads Penn State with a 3.24 kills per game average. Penn State last night clinched an EIVA Tournament berth but was eliminated from No. 1 seed contention. This will be the first time since 1998 that the Nittany Lions have not played host to the EIVA Tournament.
