Audio: Coach Booher reacts to King making first trip to ConfCarolinas finals

All-conference outside attacker Jeff Sprayberry had a match-high 19 kills as King defeated Belmont Abbey 25-12, 25-19, 25-27, 25-15 in the ConfCarolinas Tournament semifinals on Friday in Bristol, Tennessee.

Sprayberry was one of two King players with double-digit kills in the victory that secured the program’s first appearance in the ConfCarolinas Tournament finals. Opposite Kiel Bell also contributed 13 kills and led all players with 17 digs.

Setter Nick Drooker guided the offense to out-hit Belmont Abbey .350 to .123, including the Tornado having a .500 attack percentage and three errors in the opening two games.

With this victory, King will advance to play Barton in the championship match on Saturday. Both the Tornado and Bulldogs finished the regular season tied for the first place in the ConfCarolinas.
