OTB, Springbak release new college men’s volleyball national media poll

It’s now official — there will be a match this weekend between the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams.

Long Beach State and UCLA earned all the first-place votes to remain atop the latest Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll that was released on Tuesday.

The 49ers edged out the Bruins by three points for the No. 1 ranking. In addition, the two teams will play each other Saturday in Long Beach, California, to open a home-and-home series.

The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.

A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
