Video: UCLA offense, serving too much for UCSB in sweep

The offense for No. 2/2 UCLA continued roll through the MPSF.

UCLA for the fifth consecutive conference match hit more than .300 as it swept No. 11 UC Santa Barbara 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 on Wednesday in Los Angeles to remain undefeated in the MPSF.

The Bruins (7-1, 5-0 MPSF) committed nine attack errors throughout the entire match and out-hit the Gauchos .344 to .195.

All-American outside attacker Jake Arnitz in the victory finished with a team-high 10 kills. In addition, middle attacker Daenan Gyimah contributed eight kills, while middle attacker Mitch Stahl had six kills and zero attack errors on a .600 attack percentage.

Stahl and outside attacker JT Hatch each also had a match-high three aces. UCLA ended with seven aces — five more than UC Santa Barbara (6-2, 3-2 MPSF)

UC Santa Barbara outside attacker Jacob Delson in the loss led all players with 13 kills.

With this victory, UCLA remains in sole possession of first place in the MPSF and is one three teams still undefeated in MPSF play.
