OTB launches Olympic men’s volleyball Pool-Play Pick ‘Em Challenge

The time has come to make your official predictions on what men’s volleyball teams will advance out of pool-play stage at the Olympics for a chance to win a prize-package from Off the Block and Springbak, Inc.


Off the Block announced Monday it will award the prize-pack to the participant of its Pool-Play Pick ‘Em Challenge who can successfully predict the most teams that will qualify for the indoor men’s volleyball Olympic quarterfinals.

The Pool-Play Pick ‘Em Challenge is a free online contest created by Off the Block where fans guess before the start of the tournament the four teams in each Olympic pool that will advance to the quarterfinals.

The 12 teams in the tournament field have been divided into two pools. The top four teams in each pool following the five-match pool-play round will qualify for the quarterfinals and the single-match elimination stage of the Olympic tournament.

The United States will compete in Pool A along with the host-nation Brazil, Canada, France, Italy and Mexico. In addition, Pool B features Argentina, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Poland and Russia.

Participants for this pick ’em challenge can click here to fill out their picks online. Before making their picks, individuals will be asked to submit an email to compete in the challenge.

The winner will be notified via their submitted email. In the event of a first-place tie, one contestant from the first-place brackets will be randomly selected for the prize.

This contest is organized by Off the Block and is not afflicted with the Olympics or USA Volleyball.
