What to know: No. 3/3 UCLA not only is on road for match-up between top-five nationally ranked teams but it will have to slow down one of the top offenses in the nation. No. 4/4 Stanford and its perfect home record so far this season will play host to UCLA with share of first-place in the MPSF on the line. The Cardinal lead the MPSF and is among the national leaders with a .346 attack percentage. It also has hit more than .300 in the first three matches of its current four-match home stand. Stanford enters this home-stand finale after having a season-high .526 attack percentage in a sweep against No. 10/10 UC Santa Barbara on Friday. Outside attacker Madison Hayden in that victory had a match-high 14 kills. The senior entered the weekend among the conference leaders with a 3.76 kills per game average and was named the MPSF Player of the Week. Both the Cardinal and Bruins are tied for second place in the MPSF and a half-match behind first-place No. 1/1 Long Beach State. UCLA has won three of its last four matches, including sweeping No. 9/9 Pepperdine on Friday. In addition, the Bruins have a nation-high 108 aces, and freshman setter Micah Ma’a leads the conference with 33 aces. This match-up will also feature two of the top middle attackers in the nation. Stanford Preseason All-American middle attacker Conrad Kaminski entered the week in the conference’s top five with both a 1.51 blocks per game average and a .471 attack percentage. UCLA middle attacker Mitch Stahl is fourth in MPSF averaging 1.40 blocks per game.
