BYU tops season’s first OTB/Springbak National Media Poll

There is an unanimous No. 1 ranked team in the season’s inaugural college men’s volleyball national media poll.

BYU received every first-place to be ranked atop the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll that was released Tuesday morning.

BYU (2-0, 0-0 MPSF) opened its season with home victories against Loyola and George Mason during the weekend to finish the AVCA Showcase undefeated. Along with BYU, UCLA, UC Irvine, Long Beach State and Loyola round-out the top-five in the weekly media poll.

The Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Media Poll is the only national rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
