With this win, Pepperdine remains in second place in the conference and can clinch the No. 2 seed for the MPSF Tournament if it completes the series sweep against Hawai’i on Saturday. The loss drops Hawai’i to ninth place in the MPSF but the Rainbow Warriors still have a chance at a postseason berth if they can beat the Waves in the series finale and No. 9 UCLA loses to No. 3 BYU in its regular season finale.
