In addition, Erskine outside attacker Roberto Perez Vargas also was in the conference’s top five for kills per game average and was selected to the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Freshmen All-American Team earlier this week. Mount Olive reached the championship match after upsetting the No. 2 seed Pfeiffer in four games on Saturday. Outside attacker Angel Dache, the 2014 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, had a match-high 23 kills in that semifinals victory. Dache also has a team-high 36 combined kills in the two regular season matches against Erskine.
