Off the Block launches annual Morgan Classic Twitter Challenge

Off the Block for the second consecutive year is giving fans the opportunity to win a Volleyball Hall of Fame prize pack for simply tweeting their championship match predictions for upcoming the Morgan Classic.

The Off the Block Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic Twitter Challenge is a social media contest where individuals win for accurately predicting who will win one of the most prestigious men’s volleyball non-conference tournaments.

The Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic is a four-team tournament that will be played this weekend in Springfield, Mass. The tournament Friday will feature two semifinal matches — Harvard versus Loyola at 6 p.m. and Juniata versus the host school Springfield at 8 p.m. The two semifinal winners will play in the championship match on Saturday.

Twitter challenge participants before the Morgan Classic begins can tweet to the official Off the Block Twitter account, @offtheblock11, who they think will be in the championship match, the team that will win the tournament and in how many games.

The person who most accurately predicts the final score will receive a Volleyball Hall of Fame prize pack. The prize pack includes a Morgan Classic T-shirt, a Volleyball Hall of Fame pin and autographed copy of Joel Dearing’s book “The Untold Story of William G. Morgan, Inventor of Volleyball.”

In the event of a tie for first place at the end of the tournament, one contestant from the first-place Tweets will be randomly selected for the grand prize.

The deadline to submit a prediction for the Twitter challenge is 6 p.m. (EST) Friday.
