BYU freshman Patch powers USA past Mexico and into NORCECA semifinals

BYU freshman outside attacker Ben Patch saved his best performance for the U.S. Men’s Junior National Team’s biggest preliminary round match at an international tournament.

Patch had a match-high 12 kills as the United States swept Mexico 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 to clinch the Pool A championship and a semifinals berth at the NORCECA Men’s Junior Championship on Wednesday in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Lewis outside Petty serves big for US in sweep of Honduras

It didn’t take long for Lewis outside attacker Greg Petty to make a name for himself from the serving line at a top international tournament.

Petty had a match-high five aces as the United States swept Honduras 25-12, 25-12, 25-16 in its pool-play opener at the NORCECA Men’s Junior Continental Championship on Monday in Colorado Springs, Colo.

USA Volleyball reveals final roster for World Championships qualifier

Twelve college men’s volleyball players have been selected to represent the United States at an international tournament.

USA Volleyball announced Thursday its final roster for the 2012 NORCECA Men’s Junior (U-21) Continental Championship that will begin this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Loyola, Harvard highlight tourney field for 2013 Morgan Classic

Loyola for the first time in more than 10 years will return to one of the most historic NCAA volleyball non-conference tournaments.

The Volleyball Hall of Fame announced Monday that Loyola along with Juniata, Harvard and the host school Springfield will compete in the four-team 2013 Morgan Classic on Feb. 1-2 in Holyoke, Mass.

Pfeiffer names U.S. Sitting Team assistant Walker as new head coach

A USA Volleyball coach with the national sitting team will now become the head coach of the defending Conference Carolinas champions.

The Pfeiffer athletics department announced earlier this week that Greg Walker will be the new head coach of the Falcons men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming season.
