Horizon League to broadcast 3 Loyola home matches live online

Three Loyola matches this season will be broadcast live on the school’s athletics website.

The Loyola athletics department announced that Monday that the Horizon League Network will live-stream three Rambler home matches during the regular season.

The debut broadcast will feature Loyola playing host to No. 9 Ohio State at 7 p.m. Feb. 25. The Buckeyes are the four-time defending MIVA champions, while the Ramblers were projected to win the conference championship this year in the MIVA Preseason Coaches Poll.

Loyola and Ohio State also have met the last two seasons in the MIVA championship match.

Along with the Ohio State match, Loyola’s matches against Ball State on March 20 and Lewis on March 27 will be televised on the Horizon League Network.

Lewis jumped to No. 6 in the latest top 15 coaches poll that was released Monday and is the highest ranked non-West Coast team in the nation. In addition, Ball State enters MIVA play this weekend on a three-match winning streak.

Loyola (5-5, 0-0 MIVA) opened its season 2-4 on a West Coast road trip but have won three of its last four matches as it begins conference play.

The Horizon League Network televised three Loyola home matches last season, including the team’s upset victory against then-No. 2 BYU.

People will be able to view all three matches this season live at loyolaramblers.com.
