Four West Coast teams will conclude their preseason this weekend at UCLA’s annual two-day fall tournament.
UCLA, USC, UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge will play at the SAC Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Los Angeles.
Each team will play one match Friday afternoon and two matches Saturday. In addition, all matches will be played at the SAC Gym, which is located on the UCLA campus just north of the John Wooden Center.
Among the matches at this tournament includes a rematch of the NCAA Tournament semifinals between USC and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. The Gauchos upset the No. 1 seed Trojans in the Final Four last season to advance to the championship match for the first time in more than 20 years.
Three of the four teams — UCLA, UC Santa Barbara and USC — participating in the SAC Tournament ended last season nationally ranked in the top 10.
Cal State Northridge after finishing last season tied for last place in the MPSF opened its preseason 6-0 at the USC Fall Invitational in October.
UCLA went 4-2 at the eight-team USC Fall Invitational, while USC finished its home preseason event 2-3.
